shut the bedroom window in the mooorning

got up at around 10 and am now milling around in a pair of trackies, soon to be cooking up a storm (some poached eggs, probably).  i have a seminar and some presentations which i must prepare this weekend and i’m gonna do some brainstorming about job searching as well as other ways of making additional money.

i often talk to a friend of mine about the people who are paid to ‘vlog’ on youtube due to their huge amount of hits, subscribers and high ratings.  i’m pretty tempted to get into the whole youtube scene, but i am a perfectionist – it will be very very difficult for me to upload a video very often, for example, as i just refuse to half-ass things like that.  also, i won’t be satisfied unless i know my idea is completely original.  so, yeah, perhaps it is something i’ll just think about for now.

so i figured it’s time to take some action.  we as humans are not supposed to lead sedentary lifestyles and i feel like i want to make some changes.  it’s hard to find a job at the moment – the jobs that i have had haven’t ended well and so my CV quite clearly displays that i have some commitment issues in terms of work.  i figure it’s time to look for alternative means of making money, perhaps in ways that are not so tied down so that i will not repeat the same sort of mistakes.

i think it’s an important thing for anybody to realise, especially if they are in a bit of a downwards slump or stuck in a certain cycle.  i don’t really believe that there is anyone who has no ambition, it’s just that not everyone knows exactly what they want – i feel it’s pretty key to get yourself a pen and paper and jot some shit down until you can work it out, and then to start working towards it.

feels good
